Mikayla's 1!

Technically by now she's almost 13 months, but going several weeks without a computer made editing images a little tricky. ;)

If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you've seen Mikayla before, here and here. She is still just as gorgeous and fabulous as ever! We got together in April to get a picture for the invitation to her first birthday party! I've been waiting to share to make sure everyone received their invites. :)

Busy, busy weekend!

Saturday consisted of running errands, running back to my house so that one of Jake's brilliant friends could look at my computer. He managed to get it running again, YAY! The bad news is that it's running out of life. It could also be that I have asked for more than it's capable of giving. Poor machine!

Anyway, it cooperated enough this weekend to accommodate the first round of images from two more skill building sessions. The first are of my dear brother and the second set are my favorite baby girl Mikayla and her parents. I had a blast hanging out with all of you this weekend!


We were amused by this sign... Tagging the building is a crime, but apparently tagging the sign is just fine. ;)

Aren't they a gorgeous family?? Too bad Miss M was having NONE of the black box pointed directly at her. It's a good thing she's so darling. And I was able to catch a few other smiles. :)

It was a great time, LOTS of food. LOTS. I did get a picture of it, but it's not up yet. I took over 150 shots, so going through them is quite a process. ;) Hopefully there will be more sometime before she turns 1!

Mikayla's here!!!

My good friend Deb of The Squishy Chronicles gave birth to her GORGEOUS little girl Mikayla Jean last week. Mikayla arrived on June 17th, weighing in at 11lbs 6oz and 21 inches long. Yup, that's a nearly 11 and a half pound baby. She's just perfect. I'm completely in love with her already. :) I got to visit in the hospital last week as well as stop by yesterday afternoon. Here's the trick to hanging out with brand new babies... Bring mom and dad food! They're tired and completely focused on their little one, so they need all the TLC they can get. Here are a few pics, first from the hospital and then some from yesterday:
