Welcome to my blog! I started this blog as a place to document my journey as a photographer. It's evolved over the last couple of years to include some random musings and a glimpse of what's going with me. If you have any feedback, comments or thoughts, please leave them! Just below you will find quick links to categories of my work. Enjoy!

Days 7-16, so much to be thankful for!

Day 7 | Thankful for my home. I spent HOURS trying to clean/organize it. But I was, and am, thankful to have it.

Day 8 | SO thankful for understanding students.

Day 9 | Thankful that Tuesday is my hump day. YAY!

Day 10 | Thankful for my iPhone. I just realized I could turn my work email off pretty easily. Yay!!!!!

Day 11 | Thankful for all of our veterans! And their families. They all sacrifice more than I could possibly imagine.

Day 12 | Super thankful for date nights with my sweet husband. :)

Day 13 | Thankful for a comfy couch to watch TV with my dear husband. :) We've had it a little over a year and it still makes me so happy!

Day 14 | Thankful for the best in-laws ever. Especially the sisters. :)

Day 15 | Thankful for sick time. I hate being sick, but I appreciate that I can be!

Day 16 | Thankful for a husband who shares me with my family even when he's not thrilled about it!

I know I'm behind on my thankfulness...

But it's all on facebook, I swear! I'll get it over here soon. ;)

In the meantime, here's a new favorite image...

Love them. Love their love. Love the fog. Love that they're family.

It's a lovefest!!!!!!! :)

Days 5 & 6

Day 5 | Thankful that this weekend will be pretty low key. YAY! I need it! :)

Day 6 | Today I'm eternally thankful that through Christ I am more.

You are more than the choices that you've made
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes
You are more than the problems you create
You've been remade.

30 Days of Thankfulness | Days 3 & 4

I completely spaced on posting yesterday's thankfulness here. Oops. I was at youth last night (LOVE!), then cleaned my living room (boring but necessary) and then I started my "most recent" draft that's due tomorrow (that's early for me!)

Day 3: I am SO thankful and blessed to have the family I do. I love each one of them. I have the greatest (and most nuts) parents and brothers. I am so blessed! If you check out my about series you can learn more about them. :)

Day 4: I am so thankful for my education. It's not done yet, but I'm thankful for the first part (owe my dad for that!) and I've even started to appreciate the break and my return as a "non-traditional" student. :)

Until this quarter I'd never really understood what my degree was in. Yeah, yeah, I'm smart like that. My degree will be a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. See, not so easy is it? My instructor defined it in our course reader/syllabus as - Liberal Studies is the interdisciplinary study of the arts and sciences, and endeavors to link intellectual development and citizenship in a way that cultivates humanity. YES! That is what my education has been. And I am so thankful for it.

Day 2

I almost forgot to share day 2 of thankfulness here! Today it's my faith. I will be forever thankful to both of my parents for providing me with a strong foundation.

Okay, enough late night blogging for this girl! ;)

30 Days of Thankfulness

A bunch of my friends on facebook started updating their statuses with "30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 1". I thought this was an awesome idea, so I joined in! Here's what I updated my status to be -

I am so thankful I have the best husband ever. I can't imagine what the past few years have been like for him. He works harder than sooooooooo many people! Way harder than me, that's for sure! ;) Love you dude!!!!

Every day I find myself more and more impressed by Jacob's dedication to his education and his willingness to sacrifice so many years of his life for the good of our family. He is so incredible. I am the most blessed wife out there. I'm so glad that God knew what he was doing with us. We haven't always been able to figure it out, but God does. :)

Looking forward to another Thanksgiving with the love of my life. Thanks Jake. I love you SO BIG!
