1. Went to a GREAT (as proclaimed by the groom) wedding last night. :) Congrats brother and now sister!!!! Much love, joy, laughter and happiness to you both. (I didn't take any pics myself. :( Shino however hired a BRILLIANT photographer. I'll post a link as soon as he posts some.)
2. I broke out the Christmas music on Pandora today. I'm really looking forward to it this year!
3. We got our tree on Sunday morning. It's pretty fab. Should be getting some decorations on it tonight! Hopefully Jake will build a fire. It's so much more festive that way.
4. At the wedding, the amazingly talented photographer asked me to hold his external flash a couple of times. I seriously want to be his slave.
5. Saturday night marked my first experience at a gay bar. Complete with a drag show. What a night. I think my favorite line from one of the girls (after a cosmo and three different shots) was, "You know what I love about gay bars? The guys don't try to hit on me!" So good. :D
6. Jake just found that his camera is broken. He LOVES his camera. Takes it everywhere in his pocket. I'm sad for him. :( Guess that tells me what either me or his parents are getting him for Christmas...
7. Thanksgiving was a success! We put together our tables with boards which gives us a table 4 feet wide by 16 feet long. Yes, it goes WAY into our living room. Gets the job done though. We had a RIDICULOUS amount of food. Totally obscene. It was sooooo good though.
8. Jake's brother and his wonderful girlfriend flew back to Dallas today. They'll be back in three weeks for Christmas. I can't WAIT! We miss them so, so, SO much!
9. Jake sent me one of the shots he grabbed last night, check out my awesome dress! Jake was tired of his tie by the end of the night. Yeah, it's flashy, but what can you do?
10. I received St. Theresa's prayer in an email today and couldn't resist sharing it here.
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you....
May you be content knowing you are a child of God. L
et this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of you.
