10 on Tuesday

1. So, this weekend I was really missing my BF and her family. I then remembered that I snapped a few pictures of my goddaughter back in August. What a treat to find this:I just love this girl. Isn't she precious??

2. I started reading a new book yesterday that I'm going to suggest for my book group at work. It's The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright. On page four I found a quote for my grad assistant:
"The women I date," he had told her as they walked the boardwalk that first morning together, "wouldn't dare leave the house without dyeing their hair. But you, Anna Belle - you're a different fish in a sea of sameness."
"If I'm so wonderful," she answered as their first date ended, "how have all the good men
eluded me?"
"They haven't. There just haven't been any good enough for you yet."

Keep that in mind M! And yes, if for some reason you're rereading this, I did have to add some to the beginning of the quote. ;)

4. Saturday afternoon involved spending a few hours at the home of Heather for her baby shower. Holy baby central! And not just all of the adorable clothes... I think there were close to 10 babies in attendance. It was a lot of fun.

5. I really dig Eric Church's album Sinners Like Me. I think The Hard Way is one of my favorite songs. I haven't had the same experiences, but there are definitely things I wish hadn't learned the hard way. I also love Jake Owen's album Startin' With Me. Good stuff.

6. I almost forgot to eat breakfast this morning! I can't recall ever forgetting a meal. I was late for work this am and ran in the door, started up my computer, hit the restroom all in about five minutes before getting to a meeting with my boss. At 9:30am I was starving and it took me a minute to realize it was because I hadn't eaten yet. Geez!

7. Friday afternoon I'm leaving work early... To go see Twilight! Thankfully my boss didn't ask for the reason. :P

8. School is even more official now... I'm registered for winter quarter! PHIL 210: Philosophy of the Human Person, here I come!

9. Jake and I are starting our Thanksgiving shopping tonight. Good thing we have that second fridge!

10. So, this morning I forgot my wallet. Thankfully Jake has school today so he was here and able to fund my Dt. Pepsi addiction. Whew!
