I'm going to add some of my randomness. For those of you who know me, this shouldn't be a surprise. :P
For Christmas 2006, my awesome husband got me an ipod nano (LOVE!) and gym membership. I was about halfway to my goal weight at the time. (I started the weight watchers program 2 years ago and lost a little over 100lbs. If you're interested in seeing before and/or during pics, leave me a comment!) Well, last fall my dad got me into running. I now love to run. This morning was a great example... I did NOT want to go out. Ugh. I felt tired and blah. I really wanted to go back to bed. But earlier this week my dad, aunt & I had a private running lesson. We learned a TON. Anyone else out there have a problem with dorsiflexing? Dad and I sure did! I made myself go because I wanted to practice what I learned. And now I feel great. Running rocks.
Well, this last Christmas, my husband surprised me with the Nike+ for my ipod to keep track of my runs. Sometimes it doesn't work as well as I'd like, but it gets the job done. I have a route that I run regularly and I know it is 4 miles. (My Nike+ has given me distances as close as 3.93 and off as 3.79. I've learned to let it go.) For fun, here's a little something from the Nike+:
Pretty cool huh? Yes, that's the 4 mile route, so my time was even better than it calculates. YEAH!
