Welcome to my blog! I started this blog as a place to document my journey as a photographer. It's evolved over the last couple of years to include some random musings and a glimpse of what's going with me. If you have any feedback, comments or thoughts, please leave them! tuesday tunes: Christmas edition AND a giveaway!

Long time no blog! Just before, or was it just after? Thanksgiving I got SO busy with school and sessions and the holidays that I haven't had a Tuesday tune in quite some time. Hopefully I'll be better at it in the new year. We'll see. ;)

My #1, all time favorite Christmas song is Mary Did You Know. LOVE IT. I don't particularly care who is singing it, but Kathy Mattea does an awesome version. Julianne Hough also recorded a rendition of it + It Wasn't His Child with Phil Vassar that I LOVE. Awesome.

Mary Did You Know (written by Mark Lowry & Buddy Greene)

Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters? D
id you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

The blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb.

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great I am.

Now, onto the giveaway! Comment on this entry with your favorite Christmas song by midnight PST on December 25th and win an iTunes gift card!

One disclaimer... Sorry family, you're not eligible. I still love you and would LOVE to hear your favorite Christmas song. But I'm not going to let you win. ;)

If you're looking for a Christmas tree...

You should DEFINITELY check out A&B Christmas Trees in Kent, WA (across from Reber Ranch). We went this morning and picked out a lovely grand fir tree. One of our favorite Christmas traditions is to go out on a Sunday morning and cut down our tree. We've been going to another local tree farm, but decided to branch out this year. (No pun intended!) Jake and I tromped around the farm evaluating all of the trees, weighing the pros and cons of the huge, wild trees and how they might fit in our living room. We ended up with this beauty:

Which fits just right in our living room! :)

A&B had this awesome tree shaker thing. We have hardly any needles on the floor. LOVE IT!

Another new baby... another new love :)

I have a thing for babies. A SERIOUS thing. Especially the babies of my nearest and dearest. I was anxiously awaiting 3 little ones this fall and was thrilled when the last little guy made his arrival last weekend. Meet Peyton...

He was one of my biggest newborns to day - 10lbs 13oz!
Look at how DELICIOUSLY chubby his arms and legs already are!!

A few back wrinkles... Love!

Bear hats are now a MUST for all new babies. How cute is that?!?!

See what I mean about the chunkalicious legs??? His mama told me that someone she knows told her that they call them hamhocks. Whatever you call them, they're perfect.

I got my first newborn SMILE! I love this boy.
