Just in time for Tuesday Tunes!
Those Monday holidays mess with me. I love them. LOVE THEM. But they totally throw me off! I went to Top Foods thinking I'd get a deal on Diet Pepsi because the really good price was Thu-Sun. So on Monday when I went I was SO CONFUSED until I realized it was Monday, doh! After a wonderful weekend of BBQs and playing our favorite game, here's a song for my rad husband...
Can't get enough of this everyday love
Can't get enough of this everyday love
Each morning the sun shines through my window
Lands on the face of a dream come true
I shuffle to the kitchen for my coffee
And catch up on the front page morning news
Then she walks up behind me and throws her arms around my neck
Just another normal thing I've come to expect
[Chorus]
It's ordinary plain and simple
Typical, this everyday love
Same ol', same ol' keeping it new
(Same ol'/This everyday love)
Emotional, so familiar
Nothing about it too peculiar
Oh, but I can't get enough
Of this everyday love
Every afternoon I make a phone call
Listen to the voice that warms my heart
I drag myself through a few more hours
Then head on home to try and beat the dark
Her smile will be right there when I step through that door
And it will be that way tomorrow, just like everyday before
[Repeat Chorus]
Wouldn't change one single thing about it
No, it's run-of-the-mill, still I can't live without it
[Repeat Chorus]
Yeah, of this everyday love
Can't get enough of this everyday love
Can't get enough of this everyday love
Can't get enough of this everyday love
Can't get enough
Thanks Jake :)

Tuesday Tunes - guest edition!
Okay, so maybe it's really a pseudo guest edition. ;) A friend of mine suggested a song she thought would make a good entry for this series, so here it is.
What Would You Say by Trailer Choir
what if the moment came and
you knew your life was down to minutes
ladders flame was all you had to see
and you found a pen and torn up piece of paper
and a note was all you could leave
13 men felt trapped in a mine in West Virginia,
only one made it out alive
but there love lives on in the words
I can not wait to see you on the other side
what would you say(x2)
(CHORUS)
in the lines on a page from the life that you made
could you write it with no regrets
would you know in yourself you gave somebody else
all the love that you had inside
right down to your last prayer
would you tell your momma thank you for the way you love me
daddy don't cry everything's gonna be ok
would you tell your little boy that
you'll be watching him from up in heaven,
you'll never miss one game
what would you say(x2)
(CHORUS)
in the lines on a page from the life that you made
could you write it with no regrets
would you know in yourself you gave somebody else
all the love that you had inside
right down to your last prayer
what would you say
(CHORUS)
in the lines on a page from the life that you made
could you write it with no regrets
would you know in yourself you gave somebody else
all the love that you had inside
right down to your last prayer
what if the moment came and
you knew your life was down to minutes

This week it's Thursday Tunes...
And while the letters match, the sound doesn't. *grumpy face* I went home from the airport Monday night and crashed. Tuesday I got up, got to work and hit the ground running. I completely spaced about my song series until last night! I updated my facebook status that I was thinking about skipping it, but someone reacted negatively. That and I've had this song in my head ALL morning, love it!
She got eyes that cut you like a knife
and lips that taste like sweet red wine
And pretty legs go to heaven every time
She got a gentle way that puts me at ease
When she walks in the room I can hardly breathe
Got a devastating smile knock a grown man to his knees
She got whatever it is
It blows me away
She's everything I wanted to say to a woman
but couldn't find the words to say
She got whatever it is
I don't know what to do
And every time I try and tell her how I feel
it comes out "I love you"
You got whatever it is
You know I've never been the type that would ever want to
stay
Bring 'em home at night and they're gone the next day
But that all changed when she walked into my life
And people askin why it is
I tell them I don't know
Just something about the woman makes my heart go haywire
And she's gonna be my wife
She got whatever it is
It blows me away
She's everything I wanted to say to a woman
but couldn't find the words to say
She got whatever it is
I don't know what to do
Every time I try and tell her how I feel
it comes out "I love you"
You got whatever it is
Now when you love me
Girl that's how I feel
When you love me I'm on top of the world
When you love me I can live forever
When you love me I am untouchable
You got whatever it is
It blows me away
You're everything I wanted to say to a woman
but couldn't find the words to say
You got whatever it is
I don't know what to do
Every time I try and tell her how I feel
it comes out "I love" "i do"
You got whatever it is

Had the BEST WEEKEND!
Friday morning I flew down to Phoenix to spend Mother's Day with my mom and my grandma. I've been looking forward to this trip for MONTHS. Friday afternoon I went to lunch and shopping with my mom and then in the evening we spent about an hour and a half in the sweltering heat with the one of the most rad women I've ever met, Keri Doolittle. She did us the favor of capturing some images of the three of us, celebrating 3 generations. You can see our sneak peek on Keri's blog. She seriously, seriously rocks. :D Enjoy!

I love google
My dad started a new blog today to showcase his awesome building designs. Check it out here!
I've done a lot of customization to my blog here, so I was trying to help Dad out with his. His template was different than mine, so I googled "customize blogger scribe" and came across this blog post. Worked perfectly! The blog is now wider which will hopefully support bigger images. YAY!
About: Jeremy...
I bet you all thought I'd forgotten about my baby brother! How could I? One of my parents favorite stories from my childhood was the birth of our Jeremy. I was just over 3 at the time and was CONVINCED I'd be getting a baby sister. I already had one brother, thank you very much, time for a sister. It was not to be. My response to the birth of another brother was to smack Adam over the head with a broom while crying despondently, "She's a boy!" :(
One of the things I love most about Jeremy is his ability to turn on the charm. That kid can pour it on THICK. He also tells one heck of a story. Sometimes it only takes 2-3 sentences before I'm laughing hysterically. He can be quite the performer when he feels like it. It wasn't until I was in high school and my girlfriends were complaining non stop about how their sisters kept stealing their clothes, makeup, shoes, you-name-it that I realized how blessed I was to have brothers.
Dearest Jeremy, I love you buckets and am so glad you aren't a girl. ;)
The song I posted with Adam applies just as much with Jeremy. Check it out here!
Look at that smile! Who could resist that grin???

Tuesday Tunes - Anniversary Edition!
This Thursday Jake and I will be celebrating our 4th anniversary. Some days it feels like we've been married forever and other days it seems like it's only been a few months. I am so fortunate to be married to such a terrific man. In honor of our anniversary, this week's tune is what we danced to for our first dance as a married couple.
This could be it, I think I'm in love
It's love this time
It just seems to fit, I think I'm in love
This love is mine
I can see you with me when I'm older
All my lonely night are finally over
You took the weight of the world off my
shoulders (the world just goes away)
Chorus:
Oh, when you kiss me
I know you miss me
and when you're with me
The world just goes away
The way you hold me
The way you show me that you
adore me oh, when you kiss me
Oh, yeah
You are the one, I think I'm in love
Life has begun
I can see the two of us together
I know I'm gonna be with you forever
Love couldn't be any better
Repeat Chorus
Instrumental Solo
I can see you with me when I'm older
All my lonely nights are finally over
You took the weight of the world off my
shoulders (the world just goes away)
Repeat Chorus
And when you kiss me
I know you miss me
Oh, the world just goes away
When you kiss me
Fun families!
