So, after writing the entry about Tianna, I decided to do a whole series on my family. They're all pretty awesome. The one I'm most thankful for is my husband. I'm not sure that there's another person who could live with me for nearly four years and still love me as much as he does. I'm so blessed. I married a bright, wonderful, incredibly hard-working man. I'm enjoying each day of our marriage and thrilled about what lies before us. Thank you my dear, sweet husband. I appreciate you so much.

ABOUT: Jake
I finally learned to knit!
Last week my wonderful graduate assistant showed me what I was doing wrong. Don't mind the craptastic quality of my phone's camera. It's what I've got at work. ;) I'm about 10 rows into my first scarf!
ABOUT: Tianna

I have the greatest niece in the world. She's awesome. She's young, bright, fun and best of all, SASSY. It's been a long time since I've had her in front of my camera so you're getting an old image.
There are so many things I love about this girl. The way she laughs. The way she tries to hold her own with her gramps. How tight she'll hug. How small she once was. That for a space of time she thought I was pretty awesome. ;) She's got such a good heart. There's a song that comes on the radio periodically and EVERY time I hear it, I can't help but think of her.
Fingerprints of God by Steven Curtis Chapman
I can see the tears filling Your eyes
And I know where they're coming from
They're coming from a heart that's broken in two
By what you don't see
The person in the mirror
Doesn't look like the magazine
Oh, but when I look at you it's clear to me that...
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it's true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God
Never has there been and never again
Will there be another you
Fashioned by God's hand
And perfectly planned
To be just who you are
And what He's been creating
Since the first beat of your heart
Is a living breathing priceless work of art and...
Just look at you
You're a wonder in the making
Oh, and God's not through, no
In fact, He's just getting started and…
I hope and pray that Tianna will always know what a treasure she is and how deeply she is loved.

Meet Logan...
Logan Grant arrived on Friday, February 13th. We spent Sunday afternoon together. I'm in love. He's just wonderful. I could have snuggled him FOREVER. He sure didn't want to have ANYTHING to do with modeling for me though. Stinker! Mom & Dad, I hope you enjoy the few we were able to get out of him!

Looking for another blog to check out?
I recommend wandering over to Indoor Sprout. A couple of months ago, my brother decided to start growing all many of food in his dining room. Things have taken off so much that he had to move the table out of the room! We got together on Saturday and I shot a few pictures of what he's got going on, enjoy!
YUM, broccoli's one of my favorite vegetables!
Aloe
Peas! I almost snatched one of those right off the plant!
And a little tobacco...

I was a pretty dang good high school student!
In order to register for spring quarter this afternoon I had to verify that I've been properly immunized. The easiest way for me to do so was to stop by my high school and pick up a copy of my transcript. I'd forgotten exactly what kind of grades I got and what my GPA was like. I did better than I remembered! This is the bright spot of my dark, wet morning. :D

SWEET!
I just got confirmation from the registrar's office that I do NOT have to take an additional history class. YAY!!!!!!!!!! Not that I have anything against history, but I took 3 liberal studies classes in my first year at WWU that were all history of western civilization. That, and the sooner I'm done with my degree the better! ;)
Meet Kyla...
How precious is this little girl?!?! I just love how much her mama loves her. :D
She didn't feel like sleeping much while I was there, but she's still just as sweet as can be.
I've got lots more to edit, enjoy these for now! I completely ignored my homework last night because I couldn't resist this face. ;)

What an an incredible service this morning...
If Darryl & Sherrie Beebe (http://www.2b4giving.com) are coming to your town DO NOT MISS THEM! They shared their amazing story this morning at the church I attend. Their family suffered a horrific and terrible tragedy. In the years since, they've found peace, hope and forgiveness. I'll never forget today's service. Our pastor suggested that people would be changed today, I had no idea how true that would be for me.
I have so much more I want to say, but I'm not sure how to say it. The words that I think of are inadequate. If I find some that work, I'll be back. In the meantime, check out their website and their story.

More Maddy!

Just one this morning...
You've seen a lot of Mikayla on this blog... I'm thrilled to introduce her new BFF, Madelyn. Maddy joined us a couple of weeks ago and on Saturday I spent a few hours with her trying to get a few shots. She had some very specific ideas of what she would and would not tolerate. ;) I think we got a few keepers anyway. Here's one...
